June Holidays 2010 Kids’ Circus Workshops
May 11th, 2010 • Events • 1 comment
The June School Holidays are coming up! We’ve got a few inquiries if we’d be doing a June holiday program for kids. Let’s try something a bit different and as exciting this time round.
We’re opening this to kids 7-12 and it’d be held at East Coast, on the beach (we’ll decide on where after we determine the turnout). It’s good to get some sun and the great outdoors.
What we’ll teach
- Juggling!
- Plate spinning!
- Tightrope walking (slacklining actually, but it’s similar!)
- Some unicycling
We’re looking at 2 slots on June 12.
- 9am to 12 noon
- 2pm – 5pm
All props will be provided (you can bring your own unicycles!) and each participant will bring home a set of 3 juggling balls too.
The workshop will cost $80 per participant and we’ll be limiting class size to 12 per session so it would be a small class.
Email us with the following details to register -
- Participant’s Name
- Age
- What Session You Want
Registration Closes 31 May 6 June!
*Early Bird Special!* Sign up with 3 other friends before 20 May and pay for only 3!
Urban Cycling Scheme in the Future
May 10th, 2010 • News • No comments
The Dutch do it. There are dedicated cycling lanes on roads in Montreal. We’ve already park connector networks around so why shouldn’t more people be cycling?
It’s a great form of exercise, a cheap form of commute and it saves the Earth!
Channel NewsAsia is reporting on a focus group that has been set up to examine Quality of Life, Ageing, Sustainability and Identity and a hire-and-ride bicycle scheme has been mentioned.
Muni at Kent Ridge Park

Sorry, no pictures of our ride yet but check out my unicycle after one round of washing! It’s been raining so much these days, the trail was mushy and gross. Very very fun though, what with the claustrophobia-inducing descends and hairpin turns. There will be photos eventually. We’ll update!
