Asia-Pacific Unicycle Championships ‘09

The biannual Asia-Pacific Unicycle Championships (APUC) took place in Hong Kong this year and saw competitors from Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Australia and South Korea. Along with Unicycle Hockey which was the staple at the last APUC in Singapore 2 years ago, this year’s competition saw the addition of new categories like track races, high and long jump, an obstacle course as defined by the International Unicycling Federation standards and even a fun round of Unicycle Sumo.

The festivities were great fun and it’s amazing how the sport’s grown in the region over the last few years. The next APUC will be held in 2011 in South Korea.
