We’ve got new beginner unicycle sizes in stock! The Luxus now comes in 16″, 18″, 20″, 24″ and 26″ for anyone from 5 to 95! Well, maybe not 95 but close.

Better yet, the 20″ comes in more colors than just black and white. We’ve got them in Red, Blue, Black, Silver and a seasonal White version! The blue one is the same color scheme as the 16″ and 18″ ones so you and your whole family can get matching unicycles!

The 15th International Unicycling Convention took place over 28 Dec 2009 – 7 Jan 2010 in Wellington, New Zealand. More than 650 participants were in attendance and it was definitely inspiring to see what the rest of the world is up to.

The photos really don’t do justice to the crazy skills of the competitors so here are a couple of videos.

This is from the Flatland competition. Like its name suggests, this involves competitors landing tricks as best as they can on level ground.

Here’s the unicycle basketball finals and the unicycle hockey finals respectively.

The best part though are the Freestyle competitions. Think of it as a dance competition on unicycles. Categories range from Group to Pairs to Solo. Here’s the winner of the Expert Male category.

The next UNICON happens in 2012 in Italy. It’s not too late to start unicycling now!

Unfortunately for the rest of us in Singapore, the closest we can get to the white stuff is dandruff.

Qu-Ax has launched a QX-Series of 20″ unicycles. The frame comes with flat bearing holders for grinds and the crown is reminiscent of their Muni frames. We’ll be getting some in by March so drop us a note if you want to preorder.

Team-Uni is looking at organizing a a FREE beginners unicycle session sometime towards the end of this month (that’s Oct) or early next. Details are not confirmed yet but we ‘d like to get a feel of attendance. If we do have such a session, will you be interested? It would be great if you could take some time to answer
the following as well -

Location Preference? North/South/East/West/Central

Do you own a unicycle?

Time/Day Preference? Weekday Evenings / Weekend Mornings (and which days)

All will be welcome – we’ve got some unicycles around if you haven’t got one. Bring your friends, kids and your kids’ friends along. Preferably tell me the age groups to expect so I can bring down appropriate unicycles.  Please do pass the message down to any friends who’d be interested. The session’s currently first-come-first-serve since we can only cater to that many people in one location. However we might have a series of location-specific sessions if there’s a demand.
